il mulegn
Alpine valley above Andeer in soft morning light

Andeer · Schams · Graubünden

a living ecosystem for collective healing.

A space for personal work, growth and healing. A place of encounter, of questions and innovative answers — a retreat centre, research institute, academy, think tank, activist support hub and communal refuge, held together on one 1838 manor estate in Andeer, Graubünden.

The Place

Il Mulegn — a manor at the edge of Andeer.

Il Mulegn manor in Andeer, Schams

Il Mulegn sits at the western edge of Andeer, a mountain village in the Schams region of Graubünden, roughly 1,000 metres above sea level and about thirty minutes from Chur. Secluded on the edge of a landscape conservation area, with an unobstructed view southeast down the valley — yet a few minutes' walk from the village centre across a covered wooden bridge over the Hinterrhein. Built around 1838, the Gutshaus has two wings under imposing neo-Baroque hipped roofs joined by a central section crowned with a tower: wood panelling, original parquet, Kachelöfen, stucco ceilings, stained glass, and a Belle Époque loggia facing the Schons valley. With a secondary house and outbuildings, the estate holds roughly 1,918 m² of built area on 16,420 m² of land — a scale suited to 20–35 guests, with room to separate therapeutic, communal and lodging spaces.

Interior detail of the historic manor at Il Mulegn

Meadow, garden, forest and a year-round stream run through the property.

The ground on which the edible garden, the wellness area (sauna, steam room, hydromassage), the multipurpose and meditation rooms, and the ceremony room take shape.

Andeer keeps its authentic character, and its historic Mineralbad has drawn visitors for its healing waters since the early 19th century — a region whose identity is already bound to well-being.

Vision & Mission

we believe in collective healing.

A sick system makes the individuals who inhabit it sick, and healing it must happen from the bottom up — starting with individuals and their communities. This healing cannot happen in isolation: the systems that harm us are shared, and so is their weight on our bodies and minds. When we recognise this together, we see that our distress has a systemic root — and that recognition is where change begins. In a world in transition from an extractivist, abusive system to one rooted in care, we offer a professional and warm space for the personal work of healing that conditioning, and we support people on the journey toward freedom, joy and health. Aspiring to be a world-renowned centre of reference for psychedelic education and therapeutic work, we create impact on three layers: individual, communal and systemic.

We build this work in Andeer, honouring its centuries-old tradition of healing waters and weaving a relationship of respect and reciprocity with its community.

Our Offer

three layers: individual, communal, systemic.

  1. 01

    Retreat Centre

Individual layer. Professionally facilitated containers of variable duration: extended stays with individualised therapeutic plans, and shorter retreats for specific populations — women, men, queer, BIPOC and neurodivergent communities, physicians and mental health specialists. We work in English, Spanish and German.

  2. 02

    Research Institute

Systemic layer. We conduct and support scientific research on the therapeutic use of psychedelics, sacred plants, sound healing and breathwork — findings that can shape health systems beyond our own walls.

  3. 03

    Academy

Communal layer. We train the next generation of psychedelic-assisted therapists under the highest academic rigour, in partnership with BMed Global in Barcelona — practitioners who carry this work back into their own communities.

  4. 04

    Think Tank

Systemic layer. Invite-only gatherings of scientists, artists, policymakers and philanthropists from intercultural and interdisciplinary backgrounds, weaving their resources toward out-of-the-box solutions for the benefit of Life.

  5. 05

    Activist Support Hub

Systemic layer. A pro bono programme offering activists days of recovery and reconnection with their purpose and power, standing alongside those who dedicate their lives to making the world better.

  6. 06

    Communal Refuge

Communal layer. A resilient space for learning and practising autonomous community living: clean free-running water, renewable energy and a food orchard — communal work as therapeutic value.

  7. 07

    Artistic & Healing Residence

A future offering. A place of creation and exchange, where artists and healers explore their gifts and make work that reflects on the territory of Andeer and its people — a way of giving back to the community that hosts us. All therapeutic work takes place within an ecosystem of psychologists, psychiatrists and therapists who design personalised plans, under the highest standards of ethics, capacity and knowledge.

Get Involved

two ways to walk with us.

Il Mulegn is not a single-purpose retreat, clinic or training programme — it is a living ecosystem, everything under one roof, on one estate. It is designed to operate fully within Switzerland's current legal framework from day one: retreat, training and research programmes built on modalities that require no special narcotics authorisation, and substance-assisted work strictly within the Article 8(5) compassionate-use pathway of the Federal Narcotics Act. We are speaking with a small circle of aligned investors and donors. No figures, returns or dividends are offered on this page; this is an invitation to a conversation.

Investors

Individuals and family offices with a long horizon and an interest in Swiss restoration, clinical care and consciousness research.

Donors & Community

People who want to support the restoration, our sliding-scale and scholarship access, and the pro bono work with activists — without a return expectation.

Draft — this section is pending legal sign-off. Nothing here is an offer of securities or a solicitation.
